Groups & Classes

We have a variety of groups and classes on offer at EP Physio Plus. Please see the timetable below of our sessions currently on offer. As some of the classes are seasonal or run during school terms only, please call the clinic on 8682 6665 to confirm what is on offer at the moment.

All sessions require slightly different assessments to satisfy some Private Health and Medicare conditions. All require you to do an individual 1:1 with the staff member who takes the class to go through a thorough assessment. Follow up is different for each class, so call and ask for more info. There are descriptions of each of our classes below the timetable.

MAT BASED EXERCISE CLASS

Our Mat Based Exercise Class is a full body workout to target our small muscle groups that often get neglected and lead to injury. It is a low impact class and the intensity is adapted for each individual. Basically, we lay on the floor and get an amazing workout! We also incorporate stretching and some relaxation to give you 45 mins of 'you' time. It is run by one of our Physiotherapists and suitable for all ages, genders, abilities and injuries. This program is designed for those who are already moderately active and want to increase their exercise tolerance, fitness and overall strength.

These include pre- and post- fitness testing to make sure you smash your goals. It is set up as a circuit style group, with exercises graded to suit the individual and ensure the most benefit is achieved. We now also offer a 'Junior Strength & Conditioning' program for school aged students.

BONE HEALTH & BALANCE GROUP

This is a small group session designed for those who may be at risk of, or have been diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis. It is known that weight bearing and impact activities are needed to maintain and improve bone mineral density. These sessions, run by our Exercise Physiologist, do exactly that. The sessions also include balance exercises to reduce their falls risk and also resistance exercises to improve muscle mass and overall strength.
